Hiking Schedule

MEET: 10:00 a.m. at Glen's house.
The Pond is a small swimming area on the east side of Rockcliffe Village.  We'll start from Glen’s house on Mackay St. and go through Rockcliffe Village to the Pond.  On the way back we'll stop at the River House for a snack.  8.5 km round trip.

MEET: 10:30 a.m. at the RA West parking lot building entrance, 2451 Riverside Drive for a leisurely stroll through NCC ravines and gardens. Bring a light lunch or snack. Distance 7.5 km. 10:30 a.m. at Gatineau Park,  parking lot P12 (Meech Lake).  Bring a picnic lunch to eat at the cabin.  10.5 km round trip. Please register your participation by Oct. 10th at hikes-2025{at}raski.ca. Leader: Marie-Reine Fournier

We'll hike trail #36 for 2km up to the Carbide Willson Mill ruins and, depending on trail conditions, we'll continue on a further 2km to the Capuchin chapel on the shores of Meech Lake.

Total trip approx 7.5km with some hills. 

Picnic lunch at the chapel. Terrain near the mill ruin and chapel has exposed rocks and tree roots and may be slippery if wet. Walking poles and appropriate footwear adviseable.

MEET: 1:30 p.m. in the McKenzie King Parking lot (P6) at Kingsmere.  A parking fee of $13.50 will be charged (your contribution to park maintenance!)  We will hike the trail and have a bite to eat in Old Chelsea after the hike. MEET: Keogan parking lot in Gatineau Park.  (Near the top of the Fortune Parkway).  We'll hike to Western Cabin, with a side trip to the Champlain Lookout.  Lunch in Old Chelsea. If you wish to carpool, let me know by Tuesday morning. The meeting place for car pooling will be the RA Centre at 9:45, but only if we know. Please register your participation at hikes-2025{at}raski.ca by October 22.

Join Cathy McGregor this Sunday, Nov. 3^rd  for a hike along the Ottawa river pathway east of the Museum of Aviation at 1:30 pm.  Meet at the Blair St. boat put-in at 1:30 for a walk west along the river trail to the Rockeries in Rockcliffe.  We will have a snack at River House along the way.  Please register at:  hikes-2025{@}raski.ca by Sunday.  This will be one of our last hikes of the season.

To get to the boat ramp. go north on Blair Road almost to the eend, and turn left on Massey Lane, which takes you right to the parking lot at the boat ramp.

Leaving from the historic Wakefield Inn, chemin Mill in Wakefield  https://maps.app.goo.gl/ELx1C1Nx4fb6vCFKA  we’ll take the 3.4km trail 52 out to Brown Lake cabin. Picnic lunch stop at the cabin.
