Hiking Schedule

MEET: 10 a.m. at Glen's house. We'll tour the Governor-General's residence, her private gardens, and the greenhouses.  After we'll go to the Tavern at the Falls for lunch.  If you are attending, e-mail publicity-2020{at}raski.ca by 31 May, and I will send you a map of how to get to my place, and let you know of any last-minute changes.  Leader: Glen Campbell

Grasshopper Hill Park, 1609 Kilborn Ave to Rideau Sports Centre, 1 Donald Street

MEET: 10 a.m. at Rideau Sports Centre 1 Donald Street

Join Chris Hayes for a hike/walk along the 'Poet's Pathway'. We will park at Rideau Sports Centre, carpool to the start at Grasshopper Hill Park (1609 Kilborn), and hike back to Rideau Sports Centre. MEET: 10:00 a.m. at Glen's house.
The Pond is a small swimming area on the east side of Rockcliffe
Village.  We'll start from Glen’s house on Mackay St. and go through
Rockcliffe Village to the Pond.  On the way back we'll stop at the River
House for a snack.  8.5 km round trip.

Due to the weather related trail closure of trail # 36 from P11 to the Willson Carbide Mill,  the Wednesday Sept 11 hike is changed.

Starting at 10:30am from Relais de Plein Air, 395 Blvd. Cite des Jeunes, Gatineau

we will follow trails 25 and Hermit to Pink Lake. Picnic lunch stop will be at the Mica Mine overlooking Pink Lake and returning same route. Total distance 7.5km & 110 m elevation gain.

Trail varies from paved surface to dirt path. Apres-hike coffee at the Relais de Plein Air.

MEET: 10:30 am at the Britannia Beach Trolley Station to hike around Mud Lake.  Parking is available behind the station. Check out the beautiful new bridge at Mud Lake. MEET Leader Chris Hayes at Beechwood Cemetery at 10 a.m.  Distance approx.. 10 km. Carpool to start at Rideau Sports Centre and hike back to Beechwood Cemetery.  Lunch at The Works restaurant. Please register your participation no later than Sept. 18^th at hikes-2025{at}raski.ca. 

MEET leader Gillian Huntley at 10:30 a.m. in P7 parking lot (Kingsmere) for a hike along trail #6 – Skyline (5.5 km. with some substantial hills and a beautiful lookout).  Lunch after in one of Old Chelsea’s great restaurants.  Please register at hikes-2025{at}raski.ca by Sept. 23 so we can let you know of changes.

Urban Hike - Centrepointe Park and Craig Henry Loop – Meet leaders Diane Law and Rob Christine at Centrepoint Parking lot (260 Centrepoint Drive, Nepean) at 10:30 a.m.  Lunch at Dumpling Restaurant, 261 Centrepoint Drive.  RAIN date – Sun.
