The RA Ski and Outdoor Club organizes a variety of downhill and cross-country ski outings, as well as social and other events throughout the year, including hiking, biking, theatre, and golf. The ski club is one of many activities associated with Ottawa's RA Centre. For more information about the RA Ski Club, please visit the FAQs page.

RA Ski Potluck Dinner
Celebrate the coming of spring at our annual potluck dinner.
WHEN: Saturday May 3, gathering at 5:30 p.m. (eat at 6:30)
WHERE: 1081 Ambleside Dr. (Ambleside 1) Party room Bring a dish to share, and your own beverages.
DIRECTIONS: From Richmond Rd (west of Woodroffe), turn north onto New Orchard Dr, then left onto Ambleside. There is a visitor's parking in front of the building and some parking on Ambleside. (watch the no parking areas!) There will be a notice on the call board informing you of the ring number for the party room. Take the elevator to the Upper Basement level.
YOU MUST LET US KNOW YOU ARE ATTENDING. Due to the size of the room, there is a limit of 35 people. Contact Louise Cameron at xc-2025<at>raski.ca and let us know what you plan to bring - appetizer, main course, side dish, salad, dessert.

Weeklong 2025 - Chamonix, France
JAN. 31 - FEB. 9, 2025
Yes, we're off to Chamonix, France! A 6-day ski pass including one day at Courmayeur, Italy.
Mont Blanc Valley, one of the most famous alpine destinations in the world, is paradise for winter sports over 5 resorts. We are centrally located in Chamonix at Hotel Le Faucigny, with easy access to resort transits and dining of all levels. Access to the Brévent ski area is via the Savoy ski lift located less than a 5-minute walk away. Shuttle buses running to the Valley’s other ski areas stop just a few metres from the hotel.
Our 1-day visit to Courmayeur offers 100 km of groomed runs and freeride tracks, on 33 slopes with significant differences in altitude. Before flying back to Canada, we overnight in Geneva with time to explore the city using public transport network UNIRESO: buses (TPG), trains (CFF), and boats (Mouettes genevoises).
Cross-Country/DH Mid-Week to Grand Lodge, Tremblant
Feb. 12-14, 2025
Le Grand Lodge is close to Mont Tremblant and the Domaine St. Bernard cross-country ski area, which has 80 km of groomed ski trails that connect to the trails from Mont Tremblant. There are also 31 km of snowshoe trails in the park.
There is a free bus from the hotel connecting various spots in the area, including the ski hill at Mont Tremblant.
Alpine skiers can join us. An easy trip for alpine skiers wishing to use their SkiMax passes!

Downhill/XC Mid-Week to Sunday River, Maine
March 3-7, 2025
Sunday River has 139 trails, 2340 ft. of vertical, & 19 lifts.
The Sunday River ski resort has given us a special Canadian group offer in March 2025. Rooms at the Grand Summit Hotel & the Jordan Hotel are offered for 4 or 5 night stays Mar. 2-7, Mar. 9-14, Mar. 16-21 with Sunday or Monday arrivals, and Friday departure.
